A park for everyone
Skara Sommarland wants to be a park for everyone. Here you will find information to help make your visit easier if you have a disability.
You can download the Certificate for Ride Assistance and Companion Access here.
Good to Know
Skara Sommarland is an amusement park where you can enjoy both rides and swimming. The park features some hilly terrain and consists mostly of paved paths with some gravel roads. The park environment is largely made up of wide open spaces.
Public transport, mobility transport and parking
The Sommarland bus stop is approximately 250 meters from the main entrance. Bus lines: 200, 211 and 212 (Västtrafik).
Mobility transport services can drop off and pick up directly outside the main entrance.
Parking spaces for guests with mobility impairments are located right next to the main entrance. Place your disabled parking permit in the windshield of your car and please note that a parking fee applies.
Rides
In the accessibility guide you can read about which rides are accessible for guests using a wheelchair and how the alternative queues work at each ride. Under companion and alternative queue you can read about what applies as a companion and how guests with disabilities can access the alternative queue.
Restrooms
Accessible restrooms for guests with mobility impairments are available at the following locations in the park:
Inside the main entrance
Next to Guest Services in the park
By the showers in the water park
At Sagopoolsgrillen
At Restaurang Bryggan
At the railway station
Peace and quiet
If you need some peace and quiet, there are many spots throughout the park where you can recharge and continue your visit. We recommend the area by the small stage (near the entrance) or by the playground. Park benches are also available throughout the park. Ear defenders for both children and adults are available for purchase in our shops.
Food and drink
All restaurants offer lactose-free, gluten-free and vegetarian options.
For special dietary needs, allergy questions or if you need a menu read aloud, please contact a staff member.
All of our restaurants are wheelchair accessible. Some level differences and steps may be present at the order counters of a few of our kiosks. See more information about each restaurant and kiosk in the accessibility guide.
Service dogs
Service dogs are welcome in the park but may not be brought on rides or into pools.
Accommodation
We recommend First Camp located next to the park, which offers accessibility-adapted cabins. The campsite is just a stone's throw from the park and has its own entrance to Skara Sommarland.
